🛬 Day 1 – Arrival in Antananarivo

Arrive in Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to relax after your journey or take a short walk around the city. In the evening, meet your tour leader and fellow travellers and receive an overview of the adventure ahead.

🏞️ Day 2 – Antananarivo → Andasibe

Today you travel east through Madagascar’s lush highlands and rural villages on a scenic drive to Andasibe. Along the way, pass rice paddies, rainforest-covered hills, and small roadside communities. After arriving near Andasibe–Mantadia National Park, you will join a guided night walk to search for chameleons, frogs, insects, and nocturnal lemurs in the forest.

🐒 Day 3 – Andasibe National Park

Spend the day exploring the rainforest of Andasibe–Mantadia National Park with a local guide. This area is famous for the Indri lemur, whose haunting calls echo through the forest. As you walk beneath towering trees, look out for other lemur species, endemic birds, orchids, and medicinal plants. In the afternoon, visit a nearby village to learn about local life and traditions.

🚗 Day 4 – Andasibe → Antananarivo

After breakfast, return to Antananarivo by road, passing through scenic countryside. On arrival, there is time to explore local craft markets, visit artisan workshops, or relax at your hotel. This evening is free for dinner at a local restaurant or at the hotel.

Travel south through the central highlands to the town of Antsirabe, known for its cool climate and colonial architecture. The journey offers views of rolling hills, farmland, and traditional villages. On arrival, explore the town and learn about local crafts, including metalwork and textiles. Enjoy a relaxed evening in this peaceful highland setting.

Continue your journey south through changing landscapes of terraced fields and forested hills. Arrive at Ranomafana National Park, one of Madagascar’s most important rainforest reserves. In the evening, take a guided night walk to spot mouse lemurs, frogs, and other nocturnal wildlife that emerge after dark.

This morning, explore Ranomafana National Park on a guided rainforest walk. The park is home to a wide variety of lemurs, reptiles, birds, and plant species found nowhere else on Earth. Learn about conservation efforts and scientific research taking place in the park. The afternoon is free to relax or enjoy the surrounding natural environment.

🚐 Day 8 – Ranomafana → Isalo

Today involves a longer drive as you head west and south toward Isalo. The scenery gradually changes from rainforest to open grasslands and dry landscapes. Arrive near Isalo National Park in the late afternoon and settle into your accommodation, surrounded by dramatic sandstone formations.

🏜️ Day 9 – Isalo National Park

Spend the day exploring Isalo National Park, known for its rugged canyons, rock formations, and natural swimming pools. Enjoy a guided walk through the park, with opportunities to cool off in clear natural pools. From viewpoints across the park, admire sweeping landscapes and spot wildlife adapted to dry conditions. End the day with a memorable sunset over the sandstone cliffs.

🌵 Day 10 – Isalo → Ifaty

Travel southwest toward the coast, passing through dry forests and unique spiny vegetation found only in Madagascar. Arrive at the coastal village of Ifaty, known for its beaches and coral reefs. The afternoon is free to relax by the sea and enjoy the laid-back coastal atmosphere.

Today focuses on Madagascar’s coastal ecosystems and community life. Visit a local spiny forest reserve to learn about endemic plants and conservation efforts. ✈️ Day 12 – Ifaty → Antananarivo

Return to Antananarivo by domestic flight or overland travel, depending on conditions. On arrival, check into your hotel and enjoy time to rest after the journey. The evening is free, with an optional farewell dinner to reflect on your Madagascar adventure.

🎨 Day 13 – Culture & Community Experiences

Spend the day engaging in cultural experiences around Antananarivo. Learn traditional Malagasy silk weaving techniques and take part in a chocolate-making workshop using locally sourced ingredients. There is also time for souvenir shopping at local markets and artisan centres.

🛫 Day 14 – Departure
