Wild Nepal: Chitwan Luxury Safari Experience

After breakfast, transfer to the domestic terminal for a flight to Nepalgunj (or enjoy an overland scenic drive). From here, travel to Chitwan National Park. Check into your luxury jungle lodge or safari camp and enjoy a welcome reception followed by refreshments and a brief jungle orientation.

Rise early for your first guided jeep safari, exploring the wild heart of the park. With help from expert naturalists, search for wildlife including one-horned rhinos, deer, monkeys and a vast array of birdlife. Return in the afternoon to relax or try a short nature walk to discover the forest up close.

Start your day with a peaceful canoe safari along the Rapti (or Karnali) River. Glide past riverbanks where gharials, water birds and crocodiles bask in solitude. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided birdwatching trail or a second wildlife drive deeper into the jungle.

Today is dedicated to foot safaris and guided jungle trekking. Trek through sal forests and grasslands with your guide, following animal tracks and learning about wildlife behaviour, insect life and plant medicine. Sunset game drives offer prime opportunities for macro photography.

Venture out to nearby Tharu villages to meet indigenous communities. Participate in cultural performances, traditional music, and local dance. Enjoy an authentic farm-to-table meal and learn about Tharu heritage, their dance forms, and daily life in the Terai region.

Depart early for a final safari drive; cooler morning hours often prompt wildlife activity. Return to the lodge for a gourmet lunch and take time to relax, enjoy lodge amenities, or stroll along shaded trails.

Transfer back to Nepalgunj for your flight to Kathmandu. Depending on flight timing, enjoy a short city tour or free time before your international departure.
